OUR ROOTS
In January 2017, Ryan Martin walked into a bar and sat down to listen to an acoustic duo performing. The song that grabbed his immediate attention was "River of Deceit" by Mad Season. He pulled up a chair and sat near the stage to listen. Afterward, he spoke with the duo, guitarist Scott Sawyer and vocalist Christine Sawyer, and mentioned he was a drummer. When asked by Christine what his dream project was, he mentioned 90s rock. These were the magic words for her. an all 90s rock band had been at the top of her wish list for years. After practicing a few times as a trio, they brought in Mike Shooltz on bass to complete the sound.
Buzz Bin played its first show in June 2017. For a band that is focused on only 10 years of music, Buzz Bin plays a broad range of songs that include hard rock, punk/ska, grunge, party rock, re-imagined pop covers and melodic ballads.
This is a band with many years of experience among the members. Buzz Bin is truly a passion project, which comes through in their performance. Welcome back to the 1990s.
